Who Will Build the Workforce Behind the Critical Minerals Boom? - Addressing Talent Risks and Workforce Challenges Threatening Mining Growth Across the Middle Corridor

The race for critical minerals is no longer defined solely by access to resources, capital or technology. Increasingly, success depends on the ability to attract, develop and retain the talent required to build and operate mining projects. This session examines the workforce challenges facing the Middle Corridor, from skills shortages and changing workforce expectations to expatriate dependency and local talent development. It will also explore the business risks these challenges create for mining growth, project delivery and long-term competitiveness, while discussing practical strategies to mitigate these risks and build a sustainable workforce for the future.

Ultimately, the race for critical minerals will be won not only by countries with resources, but by those capable of attracting, developing and retaining talent.
