Simon Glancy is the Managing Partner of consulting firm Strategic Solutions, and has 30 years' experience of advising governments, investors and international financial institutions on doing business in Central Asia. He has worked with a range of international mining clients in the region, most recently focusing on potential investment projects in Central Asia's critical raw materials sector in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Simon is currently retained by EIT Raw Materials as its the CRM Regional Coordinator for Central Asia, advising on investment and partnership opportunities for the EU in the region. In April 2025, he completed a major report on Kazakhstan's critical raw materials sector for the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan.
